Images selected for compression are decoded, processed, re-encoded, previewed, and prepared for download locally inside your browser. Compixu does not send the selected image file to its own server or to Vercel for image compression.

Preview and download links may use temporary browser object URLs beginning with blob:. These URLs are local to the current browser context and are revoked when the image is replaced, the tool is reset, or the page is closed.

When you access Compixu, technical information required to deliver and protect the website may be processed. This may include the requested page, date and time of the request, IP address, city and country derived from the IP address, browser and device information, operating system information, referrer information, response data, system configuration information, logs, diagnostics, and similar technical information.

The purpose of this processing is to provide the website reliably, maintain its security and availability, detect abuse, and diagnose technical problems. To the extent that Compixu is responsible for this processing, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interests are the secure, reliable, and efficient provision of the website.

Vercel states that it processes certain service-generated data under its own privacy notice and may act as an independent controller for such data.

The image files selected inside the compressor are not intentionally included in these website delivery requests.

Email communication sent to contact@compixu.com is handled using email infrastructure provided by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany.

When you contact Compixu by email, your email address, message content, technical delivery information, and any attachments you choose to send may be processed in order to review and answer your request.

Where your request concerns a contract or steps prior to entering into a contract, the legal basis may be Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Otherwise, processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and the legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and communicating with users.

Do not email sensitive images or confidential personal information unless it is necessary for your request.

5. Accounts, cloud storage, and server-side image uploads

Compixu currently does not provide user accounts, cloud image storage, or server-side image compression. No registration is required to use the compressor.

6. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Compixu currently does not intentionally use advertising, third-party marketing trackers, or analytics scripts.

Compixu does not currently use advertising cookies or analytics cookies for its own purposes.

If analytics, advertising, consent-management technology, or other third-party services are introduced in the future, this privacy policy and the technical consent configuration will be reviewed before those services are enabled.

7. Browser features and format support

Compixu relies on image codecs and browser APIs available on your device. Browser support and achievable output formats may vary. Unsupported operations are reported by the interface rather than being processed by an external image service.

8. Recipients and international processing

Technical website request information may be processed by Vercel Inc. and service providers used by Vercel to operate its infrastructure.

Vercel is based in the United States and states that information may be stored, processed, or transmitted in the United States and other jurisdictions. Vercel states that, where required, it uses appropriate legal transfer mechanisms and participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Email communication with Compixu may be processed by STRATO GmbH in connection with providing the email service. STRATO states that its email infrastructure is operated in Germany.

Images selected for compression are processed locally in the browser and are not intentionally transferred to these providers as uploaded image files.

9. Retention

Images processed locally by the compressor are not retained by Compixu as uploaded image files.

Compixu does not currently maintain its own server-side database containing compressor images or user accounts.

Vercel states that it retains personal information for the minimum period necessary for its legal and contractual obligations, legitimate business purposes, security, dispute resolution, and operation of its services, and deletes or anonymizes information when it is no longer required.

Email correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to process the enquiry and, where applicable, to comply with legal obligations or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

10. Your privacy rights

Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you may have rights under the GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.
